What DMARC Peek collects
Nothing. DMARC Peek does not collect, transmit or store any personal data on servers operated or controlled by the developer. There are no accounts.
Your reports
Report files you open in DMARC Peek are unpacked and read on your device, and stored in the app’s own storage on that device so you can return to them. They are never uploaded. Deleting a report, or the app, removes it.
Reverse DNS lookups
To show a name for each server in a report, DMARC Peek can look up the IP addresses listed in it using reverse DNS. These lookups go to whichever DNS server your device or network is configured to use, as any app’s internet traffic does. That DNS server can see which addresses were looked up. Results are cached on your device for the period you choose.
You can turn lookups off at any time in Settings, under Sender names.
Links you choose to open
Tapping “Look up IP owner” on a sender opens a public lookup page (bgp.he.net) for that IP address in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you tap it.
Tips
DMARC Peek offers optional tips as In-App Purchases. Apple processes the payment; the developer receives no personal or payment details, only Apple’s standard anonymised sales figures. Tips don’t unlock anything.
Crash reporting and analytics
DMARC Peek includes no analytics, crash reporting or telemetry of any kind. Apple may share anonymised crash reports with developers if you have opted in on your device; that is controlled by Apple, not by DMARC Peek.
